About the Exhibitor:

My small business originates from a small Village in Okalongo- (Omusati), focusing on the design and production of authentic Namibian traditional attire, handmade accessories, and natural marula oil products. Over 40 years I have been creating and still creating a variety of garments, including traditional dresses and skirts (odelela), men’s shirts, and unique outfits and belts made from animal skin, all crafted to reflect our Namibian rich cultural heritage. I also design original custom-made necklaces from snail shells (Onyoka), carefully handcrafted to complement traditional wear. In addition, I produce high-quality marula oil (Odjove) known for its natural flavour. We specialize in custom-made traditional costumes tailored for cultural events, special occasions, and exhibitions. Through my work, I promote and preserve Namibian culture, serving as a cultural ambassador to international visitors. As a pensioner, I strive to ensure that my business also empowers young people by providing skills training, mentorship, and employment opportunities, ensuring that traditional craftsmanship is passed on to the next generation while supporting sustainable livelihoods and value addition.
