Iyalago Food Assurance Consultants (IFAC) is 100% Namibian-owned and women-led firm based in Walvis Bay, serving food business clients across Namibia and the SADC region. IFAC was founded in 2017 by Ruth Martinez Lago and Vera Iiyambo, with over three decades of combined experience across regulation, standards, and food processing. We help food producers, processors, hospitality and handlers build credible, internationally recognised food safety and quality systems. Certified to ISO 9001:2015 (DNV), our services span food safety auditing, management-system design, regulatory advisory, and training through in-person sessions and self-paced through the IFAC Smart Centre (first online Food safety treating platform in Namibia). We support clients pursuing HACCP, ISO 9001, and GFSI-benchmarked schemes (FSSC 22000, IFS Food, BRCGS). Engagements run from gap analysis and documentation through internal auditor training, mock audits, and certification support, building lasting in-house capability rather than dependence. We serve manufacturers, retailers, hospitality, and the public sector, turning food safety into protected brands, retained contracts, and export and tender eligibility.
